Point leader Jay Middleton did exactly what he needed to do to strengthen his position at the top of the standings by dominating the Anderson 100 event and crossing the finish line first.
In the interest of maintaining the best Late Model racing in the Southeast, ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour officials announced rule changes beginning with the July 5th race at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville, TN.
ASA SAT announced today the event at Rockingham Raceway Park, (NC) scheduled for August 30th, has been cancelled. The race was supposed to be the first road course event in series history.
“The staff at Rockingham was extremely generous to work with,” said series owner John Kee. “The facilities were great and we we’re planning on a having a top notch show. The economics of staging a race with the size of the track and expenses of the television covering a large track were just too much for the Southeast Asphalt Tour.”
